AltezzaAltezza12 cmBring home the wild energy of Gremlins with this 12 cm Mini Epics Vinyl Figure of Stripe. A horror-comedy cinema icon captured in a compact, vibrant miniature, perfect for those seeking an eye-catching piece without cluttering the shelf.
Scene
The sculpture captures Stripe in the peak of fury, gripping his iconic chainsaw. This dynamic pose evokes the climax of the 1984 film Gremlins, the devastating chaos the gremlin unleashed in Kingston Falls. Attention to detail in rendering the chain and aggressive demeanor instantly transports the collector to that unforgettable sequence, freezing the adrenaline of one of the film's most iconic moments.
The Character
The true weight of Stripe in the Gremlins saga lies not only in his predatory nature but in his role as a narrative catalyst: he transforms a simple household mishap into a full‑blown escape in Kingston Falls. Born from Gizmo's mistake, Stripe embodies the pinnacle of gremlin deceit, strategically manipulating the situation to secure midnight snacks and unleash terror upon the town's quietude. This figure celebrates him not as a mere monster, but as the primary and most recognizable antagonist of the entire franchise, a pillar of 1980s horror‑comedy aesthetics that defines the boundary between chaos and madness. For the collector, owning Stripe means holding the beating heart of Joe Dante's cinematic mythology, a pop‑culture nostalgia symbol that completes the original film's narrative arc with unmistakable authenticity.
Why Collect It
For a collector, the real challenge is not owning a character, but owning its essence distilled into its purest form. This Mini Epics from Weta Collectibles represents the perfect balance between accessibility and artisanal care: a piece that doesn't dominate the showcase but completes it with an authentic nostalgic touch. In a market saturated with large figures, having a compact, detailed version of such a memorable antagonist as Stripe offers a unique opportunity to build a cohesive thematic line without sacrificing precious display space. It's the type of piece you look at and appreciate in detail day after day, reminding you why 80s cinema continues to define horror design standards. It's not just a figurine; it's a tangible call back to a golden age, ready to find its honorable place beside your most beloved pieces.
