Scene
The figure captures the iconic look of Dr. Fate as portrayed in DC Comics’ Injustice 2 comic series, which gave rise to the 2017 video game of the same name. The character’s armor and aura faithfully echo the comic‑book design, placing the collector directly into the narrative context of this spin‑off, where the Justice League’s wizard takes on a central and visually distinctive role.
Character
In the dark and controversial world of Injustice, Kent Nelson is not just an ally but the line that delineates cosmic order from chaos. As a host to Nabu, Lord of Order, he embodies an arcane power that transcends physical laws, making him one of the most formidable wizards in the entire DC Universe. Within this specific alternate timeline, his role becomes crucial: he becomes the guardian of balance and an unexpected refuge for the resistance (Insurgency) against the regime. His narrative apex takes place in the Fate Tower, where he offers sanctuary to Batman after the brutal defeat at Superman’s hands, serving as a mystical pillar in a high‑stakes cosmic conflict. This version perfectly captures that specific weight, merging his majestic presence with the saga’s unique armored design.
Why Collect It
This edition of the DC Direct Page Punchers line stands out for a unique collecting experience: it’s not just a statue but a package that pairs display accessories with a volume of comics, raising the value of each single unit. The inclusion of the comic inside the case turns the purchase into a complete ritual for hardcore fans, who can then integrate the figure with the narrative source that made it iconic. Displayed on a shelf, this variant is not just a collection item but a tangible portal to the Injustice universe, capable of drawing attention and sparking conversation among the most seasoned collectors.
