MaterialePlasticMaterialePlasticThe supreme enemy of the Transformers returns in one of his most iconic incarnations: Megatron, in the Dark Energon version, the protagonist of the Age of the Primes saga. This Voyager-class figure captures the essence of the antagonist with a design that leaves no room for compromise, offering collectors a tactile and visual experience with great impact. It’s time to bring the threat of Dark Energon directly onto your shelf.
The Scene
The figure captures the exact moment when the leader of the Decepticons was corrupted and powered by Dark Energon, as shown in the film Transformers (2025). This specific incarnation is defined by its translucent purple appearance, an exclusive repaint variant for the toy that visually distinguishes Megatron from its standard form, reflecting the malevolent influence of Dark Energon on its chassis.
The Character
Megatron’s journey within the continuity of Transformers: Prime represents one of the saga’s darkest and most narratively dense chapters: from marginalized miner to gladiator, to becoming the leader of a brutal civil war against Optimus Prime and the Autobots, his arc is defined by an unstoppable will to reshape Cybertron. This particular incarnation, however, transcends political conflict: the absorption of Unicron’s literal blood through Dark Energon transforms his ambition into a cosmic threat. It’s not just a visual variant, but a narrative turning point where corruption breaches the character’s biological limits, making it one of the most dangerous and powerful versions ever seen. For collectors, this figure isn’t a simple accessory; it’s the embodiment of a critical pivot that redefines the power balance between factions, making it a cornerstone for those wishing to faithfully rebuild the epic of the Aligned continuity.
Why Collect It
It’s more than a figure; it’s the apex of an era. The Age of the Primes series redefined the aesthetic standard for Transformers, and owning this version of Megatron means holding a fundamental piece of that rebirth. The Voyager class offers the perfect balance between sculptural detail and scale presence, making it an indispensable piece for those who curate their collection with a critical eye. On display, the contrast between the Decepticons’ engineering mastery and Dark Energon’s corruption instantly communicates the character’s narrative weight. It’s an opportunity to capture in resin and metal an absolute turning point, turning a simple toy into a work of design that speaks for itself to every saga enthusiast.
