Scene
This figure depicts Jessica Drew in her modern costume, featuring the distinctive black and red color scheme. The appearance is faithful to the design seen in the ongoing Spider‑Woman comic series, published from 2020. Visual details include the character’s long dark hair, giving her a contemporary look recognizable to fans of the title.
The Character
Jessica Drew is not just another multiversal hero: she is the founder of a dynasty. Her story, beginning in the pages of Marvel Spotlight #32 in 1977, sees her rise as a Hydra agent, manipulated and black‑mailed, before breaking free from mind‑washing chains to become an autonomous force for good. This evolution from victim to independent warrior gives her a rare narrative depth in the Marvel landscape. Today, operating as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, private detective, and Avenger, Jessica embodies the balance between vulnerability and power, using her super‑human agility and lethal bio‑electrical “venom blasts” to protect those who cannot defend themselves. Her role is crucial not only for her combat expertise but for her legacy: she is the starting point of the complex Spider‑Verse genealogy, making her an indispensable pillar for those looking to understand the roots of the spider family.
Why Collect This
Placing this figure on a shelf means not just displaying a character, but celebrating a specific moment in Marvel’s publishing history. For the discerning collector, the seal guarantees an intact piece, ready to age beautifully over time compared to already opened versions.
